What we did as a family when it came to Lent and Advent, was to pass a piece of paper and pencil around the table and to invite everyone to write one or two things down that they wished for God to help them with, or something to improve in their lives. 

We MUST SHOW them!

The best way to make prayer time a priority in a family is to begin even before marriage.  If the spouses are praying for one another (even before they meet), they will inevitably have a stronger prayer life with each new change and challenge that comes with family life.
